processed. The processing of your personal data complies with local legal requirements, depending on the
country, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27,
2016 (“GDPR”), for personal data classified as protected health information.
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. In this case, we will inform you that this privacy
policy has been changed and the date of the last update will be changed in this document. We recommend
that you regularly check the latest version of this privacy policy.
Who we are
Aureliym GmbH and Sonova AG act as independent or jointly responsible entities.
Personal data we collect from you and why.
Sonova & Aureliym processes your personal data only for the following purposes:

Based on your consent:
- Processing your health data to provide the requested medical service or support
(https://www.geers.de/kontaktformular/) Creating your patient
file to
ensure continuity of service; Activation of therapy, personalization of therapy by
completing
questionnaires in the app; and Provision of medical services
Personal data
means:
Personal information (first name, last name, date of birth), contact details (email
address,
phone number), confirmation of payment for the app subscription/payment confirmation
Health data means: Hearing assessment, other diagnostic data such as
medical
history questionnaire, medication intake, questionnaires related to tinnitus, tinnitus
assessment, therapy data such as usage and status data (e.g., timestamps, arrangements
for
occasional or as-needed repetitions), tinnitus assessment results (i.e., questionnaire
results,
including tinnitus severity, psychological problems, quality of life, medical history,
and
psychophysical measurements), therapy data details (i.e., type of therapy selected,
therapy
progress, therapy adherence, therapy results)
- Processing of your personal data for the purpose of obtaining reimbursement for the
DiGA:
Email address and approval code issued by the health insurance company. This activity
requires the
involvement of the DIGA.
- Preparation of health data for transfer to the ePA (electronic patient record)

Based on the performance of
the contract and the service provided by the SilentCloud app: The processing operations
described below are part of the service we provide to you when you use the SilentCloud app, and
therefore the categories of personal data mentioned are exchanged between Aureliym and Sonova:
- Create your account: Manage your account information to provide you with the
service.
Personal data: First name, last name, date of birth, gender, email
address, phone number, postal code, city.

Based on our legal
obligation:
- Safety purposes, post-market evaluation, or requirements based on administrative
regulations:
Personal data: diagnostic data (pseudonymized) such as
medical history questionnaires, medication intake, questionnaires, and assessments
related to tinnitus, therapy data (pseudonymized) such as all usage and status data
including timestamps and provision for occasional or on-demand repeats, therapy results
and steps, tones for tonal therapy, and volume of masking noise for masker therapy.

Based on our legitimate
interest:
- Analyses and statistical evaluations to improve products, evaluate effectiveness, and
share results in publications (including scientific or clinical publications)
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving processes and/or
products, gaining insights into the efficiency of communication channels, monitoring and
optimizing your experience with both tinnitus therapy and hearing aid (HA) treatment,
ensuring continuity of therapy and your journey (picking up where you left off and
avoiding repetitive tasks, adding additional assessments based on your feedback);
participating in research in the relevant medical field; demonstrating the benefits of
apps
Personal data: pseudonymized usage data, pseudonymized diagnostic data,
pseudonymized therapy data, and pseudonymized data collected in other standard hearing
care processes. Please note in this context that although the data is referred to as
pseudonymized, in practice it is anonymous for the purposes of analysis.The team
conducting the analysis will never have access to raw data or information that could
directly or indirectly lead to the identification of individuals. Furthermore, results
or publications will only be presented in aggregate form so that no individuals can be
identified.
You have the right to object (opt out) to processing based on our
legitimate interest at any time by contacting us at privacy@AURELIYM.com.
How long we keep your personal data.
This personal data will be retained for a minimum period of
time proportional to the time required to fulfill the purposes described. In the event that applicable
law or other regulations require a longer retention period, we will apply the longer retention period in
order to comply with our legal obligations.
How we treat your personal data
Sonova & Aureliym may share your personal data with
affiliated Sonova companies in Europe, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland (where our headquarters
are located). All our employees are required to comply with these rules and receive regular
training. We have secured our systems with modern protection and restricted access.
If
necessary, we also share your personal data with trusted third parties: Microsoft Ireland
Operations Limited (Ireland), Microsoft Azure the data is stored in the EU or the US,
depending on the user's location), i.e. in the infrastructure where our services are hosted;
SendGrid to validate your email address during the registration process.
Sonova & Aureliym
ensure that your personal data is protected to the same level as in your home country. We have
agreements with all parties involved to ensure that no one uses your data in an illegal manner.
You have rights.
In connection with the collection and processing of your
personal data and in accordance with applicable law, you may have the right to request access to,
correction, deletion of your personal data, or restriction of processing. In addition, you may
object to the processing at any time, request data portability, and withdraw your consent. Depending
on your country, you may have additional rights, such as providing instructions on how your personal
data should be processed after your death. Under HIPAA, you may also have the right to request an
accounting of disclosures of your personal data and the right to receive a paper copy of this notice
upon written request.
Please note that the exercise of these rights is subject to the
limitations of applicable law.
